Please find below some extra information about the campsite accommodations:

Twiga Campsite

Twiga Lodge and Campsite are located at Mto wa Mbu, one and a half-hour drive from Arusha town. Its extensive facilities and beautiful setting have made Twiga a very popular stopover along the route to many Northern Circuit tourist attractions.

The camp has more than 200 campers, as well as budget-tent facilities with outdoor bathrooms.

Accommodation level: Budget

The level of accommodation can be upgraded to lodge accommodation upon request.

Facilities:

Swimming pool: The pool next to the tree-shaded area doubles as a great chill-out zone for a bit of reading or a splash in the pool during the afternoon. The trees surrounding the pool are habitats of many bird species whose dawn choruses are always a pleasure to wake up to.

Conference facilities: The conference facility is located on the far right of the property, carefully designed to complement the gardens and the camping grounds. It accommodates up to 150 people and is equipped with flip charts, overhead projectors, wireless microphones, public address system, supplied on request at modest charges.

Simba Campsite A and Seronera campsite

Simba Campsite lies on the very rim of Ngorongoro Crater and has an excellent view across the caldera. A fantastic sunrise over the crater rim makes a fine breakfast scene. Often there are elephants wandering around the camp. This campsite is guarded. Tents have mats and bathrooms are outside of the tent.

Facilities at Simba Campsite are basic, but this is more than made up for by the atmosphere of this camp in the clouds. It has basic facilities and can get very crowded, so the hot water sometimes runs out. Even so, it's a fine location and by far the cheapest place to stay up on the rim.

Relax in your already-booked hotel in Arusha after a long flight while you are dreaming of your safari tomorrow morning.

Day 2: Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you will depart for Lake Manyara National Park, have a morning game drive followed by lunch and an afternoon game drive and stay overnight in your already-prepared Twiga Campsite before sunset. Lake Manyara National Park is famous for its fabulous pink flamingos and lion climbing tree adventures. The second interesting aspect is the nature and landscape in Lake Manyara National Park which is located behind the escarpment rising westward. Enjoy your time with lions, hippos, antelopes, impalas, and zebras just beside your safari vehicle. When in flamingo’s season, Lake Manyara is covered by flamingos feeding algae on the lakeshore.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park - Serengeti National Park

In the early morning, you will be led to Serengeti National Park with a visit to explore MASAI cultures, exciting customs, dances, boma, living standards..you are going to experience the difference. Follows by an afternoon game watching and photographing in Serengeti National Park. Today, you will have a long interesting journey with game drive en route to Nabi Hill Gate where you are going to have lunch around 14:30 while your driver confirms the entrance fees. Grab all the best viewpoints of superb landscapes on your way to Serengeti and have a view of the Ngorongoro Crater, but not to do a game drive. Late in the afternoon, you will have a game watching in Serengeti until the sunset. After seeing the sunset in Serengeti National Park, prepare for a shower, dinner, and overnight stay at Tanapa Hostel. Wildlife statistical currently measures that Serengeti has large herbivore species of over 1,300,000 wildebeests, 250,000 Thomson’s gazelles, 200,000 zebras, 70,000 impalas, 50,000 topis, 30,000 grants gazelles, 10,000 lands, and many antelopes, and hundreds of predators. Tanzania has the best national parks.

Day 4: Central Serengeti - Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Wake early in the morning to take a cup of coffee followed by an early game drive in Serengeti National Park, we take you beyond the line to see the hidden wilderness and their adventures then go back to the campsite, pack everything, take brunch, and depart with a game drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You are in Serengeti plains, the world's natural wonder, and the first natural African icon. Explore wild predators such as lions, cheetahs, leopards kidding in the branches of trees, flamingos, and water birds on the Lake Magadi, as well as lovebirds and kingfishers across the Seronera River Valley. Only in Serengeti, you will see millions of big wild mammals and maybe wildebeest migration. Then, you will depart with en-route game watching across the Koppies of Serengeti to explore the cheetahs, lions, and leopards. Hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, elephants, and small antelopes are plenty, finding their survival in this plain. You will approach the Ngorongoro Conservation Area perhaps via Oldupai Gorge to confirm the concluded evidence of hominids fossil and footprints about the existence of early men back to two million years ago. Later on, you will have dinner and overnight stay at Simba Campsite A after taking your sunset photo of the crater view.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will descend to the crater floor for about a six-hour game drive. In the afternoon, you will depart with en-route game watching and, later on, go to the Maasai market to take some souvenirs and drive back to Arusha reaching your hotel in the evening. The 45-minute descending to the crater is a beautiful moment to experience especially in the morning hours. It is a good time in which you can meet lions hunting and hippos returning into the water after a whole night struggling for food, while a big number of angulates grassing on the green grass making the crater floor. Ngorongoro Conservation Area is the world’s garden and the place in which you can find some species of wildflowers. Here, you will also have an amazing experience to see the natural crater with wonderful volcanic caldera and Lake Magadi with flamingos. When in the season, the Ngorongoro Crater floor is flowered pink, red, and yellow especially in late May and early June. Also, Ngorongoro is where to find the black rhinos regularly inside the small forest. In the afternoon, you will ascend the crater to Tarangire National Park. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Twiga Campsite/ Sun bright campsite.

Day 6: Tarangire National Park - Arusha

Wake up in the morning and have breakfast before your morning game drive followed by lunch and an afternoon game drive to Arusha. You will arrive at your campsite after a two-hour drive from Arusha. Go on your morning game watching before you take a break for a pleasant lunch. Your afternoon game drive will reveal all the wonders of Tarangire, a national park often renamed as the 'elephant playground'. Herds of up to 300 of these mighty mammals are sometimes seen in the park. Serengeti may be better known, but Tarangire in the dry season easily rivals it for animal densities. Besides the herds of elephants, Tarangire is also home to buffalos, lions, wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles while gerenuks and fringe-eared onyxes are local specialties. Lake Burunge’s marshy shores are the lure for these mammals and the waters attract many beautiful bird species. Tarangire has more than 500 bird species. Tarangire is noted for its splendid baobab trees, rolling savannah, and acacia woodland. At the end of an inspiring afternoon amongst the wildlife, you will retire to the comfort of the campsite for an evening meal. Dinner and overnight stay will be in your already-booked Arusha Center Inn Tourist, Venice Hotel, or similar hotel in Arusha town.

Day 7: Arusha
