Amazon Rainforest Tour Peru
At the beginning of the Amazon Rainforest Tour Peru, our guide will take you from the Hotel in Iquitos for a full-day tour to the Amazon Forests. Finish the breakfast before our guide reaches to pick you up. The departure time is 08:00 AM. The first stopover of the Amazon Rainforest Tour Peru would be at the Manatees Rescue Center, situated nearby Iquitos Road, at an approximate distance of 4.5 Kms. Manatees Rescue Center was basically made for the conservation purpose and basically it was started by cooperation with the Dallas World Aquarium Zoo & Peruvian Amazon Research Institute. You will see an absolute representation of conservation in the Peruvian Amazon in CREA. Species that are kept in the CREA were taken from various places where these were being kept secretly and illegally. However, after the rehabilitation, now they are released int the natural habitat. Almost 23 manatees, anteaters, turtles, sloths, two pink dolphins, and other animals have been rehabilitated so far.
The guide will detail you about the activities in the rescue center and how the various areas in it are demarcated for monkeys, manatees, birds, and reptiles. You will visit our interpretation center call “The flooded forest”, made of fiberglass material. Tour would be for one hour, approximately.
The next stopover of the Amazon Rainforest Tour Peru would be from Iquitos to Nauta. The riverboat will be driven towards the protected Jungle of Yarapa. Here witnesses the opportunity to see the Amazon Jungle & the majestic Maranon River. After this, we will reach the village of Puerto Miguel to explore the three toes sloth. Hug the sloths once the guide will detail you about it.
Later in the day, pay a visit to the Yacumama Eco Lodge, situated adjacent to the Yarapa Jungle and eat lunch also by sitting at an appropriate place in the Jungle.
The next activity on the Amazon Rainforest Tour Peru is a two hours hike trip to see the virgin jungle. Follow the Monkeys, Snakes, Poisonous frogs, anacondas, anteaters and many other kinds of birds. Be back to the lodges at about 3:00 PM and then pack up your belongings for returning to the city of Iquitos.
The last thing we will see would be the Ucayali River to observe the movement of Pink dolphins. Have a short stay of 20 minutes and then continue the journey towards the Nauta and Iquitos to your Hotel.
