Day 02: Guided Sightseeing to Kathmandu’s Durbar Square, Swoyambhunath Temple, Pashupati, and Boudhanath Stupa

Kathmandu Durbar Square is one of three royal palace squares in the Kathmandu Valley. This site was the royal residence until the 19th century where important ceremonies, such as the coronation of the Nepalese monarch use to take place.

Swoyambhunath Temple: This Buddhist Stupa, said to be 2000 years old is a perfect architecture of gilded spire and whitewashed dome located under thousands of fluttering prayer flags.

Pashupatinath Temple: Pashupatinath, a pagoda-style Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is considered to be the powerhouse of Hindu spiritual power in religious terms.

Boudhnath Stupa: This enormous stupa is where thousands of pilgrims gather daily to make a ritual circumnavigation of the dome, beneath the watchful eyes of the Buddha, which gaze out from the gilded central tower. This is one of the few places in the world where Tibetan Buddhist culture is accessible and unfettered, and the lanes around the stupa are crammed with monasteries and the surrounding is paraphernalia for Buddhist life.

Overnight: standard hotel on a twin share basis.

Meals: Breakfast.

Day 03: Drive to Pokhara After breakfast, we will drive to Pokhara.

Pokhara is situated about 200 km west of the capital Kathmandu and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Nepal and the second-most populous city in the country. Due to its proximity to the Annapurna mountain range, the city is also a base for trekkers undertaking many short or long treks. The serene of lakes and the magnificence of the Himalayas rising behind them makes Pokhara an ambiance of peace and magic.

Overnight: standard hotel on a twin share basis.

Meals: Breakfast.

Day 04: Day in Pokhara (Sunrise from Sarangkot and Pokhara Sightseeing)

Just at a distance of 25-minute drive, Sarangkot is a beautiful village best known for its sunrise, where on a clear day you can see an unobstructed view of the Himalayan mountains of Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri range, and Fishtail. After viewing the ethereal light show in the mountains, we will visit Bindhyabasini Temple on the way back. Day 06: Guided Sightseeing in Bhaktapur City, Patan Durbar Square

Bhaktapur City: Like that of Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square, this is the third medieval city-states in Kathmandu Valley which is home of medieval art and architecture. Located 14 km east of Kathmandu City, this place was founded in the 9th Century. Bhaktapur has three major squares full of a towering array of temples overlooked by the Palace of 55 windows built by King Bupatindra Malla. The Nyatapola Temple, also built by King Bhupatindra Malla, is the best example of Pagoda style and stands on five terraces on each of which stands a pair of figures - two famous strong men, two elephants, two lions, two griffins and two goddesses.

Patan Durbar Square: Located about 5 km south of Kathmandu in the Kathmandu Valley, on the southern side of the Bagmati River, Patan is one of the three royal cities in the valley. A paradise of fine arts, Patan is filled with wood and stone carvings, metal statues, ornate architecture, including dozens of Buddhist and Hindu temples, and over 1200 monuments. The city of Patan is believed to have been built in the third century B.C. by the Kirat dynasty. It was expanded by Lichhavis in the 6th century A.D. and again by the Mallas in the medieval period. Listed as a World Heritage Site, the former royal palace complex is the center of Patan’s religious and social life and houses a museum containing an array of bronze statues and religious objects. We spend our last evening in Kathmandu in a farewell dinner together sharing photos recalling the excitements of the trip and exchanging emails in one of the traditional Nepalese restaurants.

Overnight: standard hotel on a twin share basis.

Meals: Breakfast, Farewell Dinner.
